The DAT Optic EF3-R is the first hardware RAID 0 in a compact DUAL 3.5" drive metal enclosure with FireWire 800 (1394b) interface provided by the built-in high-performance FireWire 800Mbps (1394b) RAID 0 bridge board. Our EF3-R offers 1394 payload of 4096 instead of 2048 and 48-bit sector addressing therefore our EF3-R - RAID 0 enclosure ensures the high speed transfer rate with any size HDD installed. Once TWO hard drives - same model recommended - are installed on this built in hardware RAID 0 enclosure they will go twice as fast. Our RAID 0 enclosure it is a perfect storage solution for A/V applications.
